As the nation awaits the Rittenhouse verdict, Alveda King calls for prayers, wisdom and nonviolent unity with the following statement:
Whenever emotions are high, and threats of racial unrest mount, those who believe in prayer must rise to the occasion. That time is now. In Georgia, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma, there are situations that are simmering, causing fear, anger, and confusion. These situations should be answered with wisdom and non-violence. This is an urgent clarion call to leaders and communities at large to pray and unify with love and human dignity as we respond to our concerns with nonviolent action.
As Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said: ‘Hate begets hate; violence begets violence; toughness begets a greater toughness. We must meet the forces of hate with the power of love.’
In Mark 4:39, Jesus calmed the storm and commanded, ‘Peace, be still.’ We must pray together for that same peace to calm the storm, so that our nation can begin to heal and come together as one nation under God.
As one blood, one human race, we CAN resolve our differences peacefully.

The following video contains language that you would not normally hear on my site, but I believe that it is necessary to share what is happening in some school districts around the country, and ask “Coming to a School Near You?”.
Pastor Ed Boston
Citizen participant, Stacy Langton, speaks at the September 23, 2021 Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) School Board Meeting. She is a parent concerned with the content of books found in the school library. She is interrupted by School Board Chair, Stella Pekarsky.
WARNING: Contents contain material that may not be suitable for young children. Although apparently suitable for high schoolers attending FCPS.
I must share with you what is gnawing at my spirit today. It is obvious that the mainstream media has decided to “move on” from the tragedy of Afghanistan. They apparently believe it undermines their narrative of what happened and why. Thus, it is likely that there will be no accountability for the mistakes that resulted in the needless deaths of 13 U.S. service members and more than 180 desperate Afghans who perished on a street in Kabul.1 Watching the news coverage of this carnage was gut-wrenching for viewers. Nevertheless, liberal reporters are ignoring the past and changing the subject. Most politicians obviously agree.
Neither Democrats nor Republicans appear eager to find out why Bagram Airfield was abandoned or why billions of dollars-worth of our state-of-the-art military weaponry and equipment was handed over to some of the most dangerous terrorists in the world.2 Remember that the Taliban provided a safe haven for Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda. They were responsible for the destruction of the World Trade Center on 9/11. Now they are fortified by one of the best equipped militias on earth. Shouldn’t we find out which generals, admirals, politicians, and advisors engineered this disaster? To date, they have paid no price for their malfeasance.
President Joe Biden, who as Commander in Chief made the ultimate decision. He acknowledged during one of his concluding press conferences that some American citizens would be trapped in enemy territory after the pull out. He expressed no compassion for the Afghans who risked their lives serving the Americans as translators. Biden clearly knew they and some Americans would be abandoned.3 4 America betrayed these people and broke our promises to them. An unknown number of these unfortunate “friends” are in the clutches of the Taliban today. Every indication is that they and many Christians are being slaughtered unmercifully.5
Deeply disturbing reports have emerged from Christian organizations and other witnesses, relaying unthinkable accounts of mass murder occurring in Afghanistan. One of these reports is titled Taliban Going Door to Door Seeking Christians, Searching Through Phones for Bible Apps. It was written by Jon Brown, of Daily Wire, and I quote:
An underground church that partners with Frontier Alliance International (FAI) has reported that the Taliban are targeting Christians for death. According to FAI:
The Taliban has a hit list of known Christians they are targeting to pursue and kill. The US Embassy is defunct and there is no longer a safe place for believers to take refuge. All borders to neighboring countries are closed and all flights to and from have been halted, with the exception of private planes. People are fleeing into the mountains, looking for asylum. They are fully reliant on God, who is the only One who can and will protect them.
The Taliban are going door-to-door taking women and children. The people must mark their house with an “X” if they have a girl over 12 years old, so that the Taliban can take them. If they find a young girl and the house was not marked they will execute the entire family. If a married woman 25 years or older has been found, the Taliban promptly kill her husband, do whatever they want to her, and then sell her as a sex slave.
Husbands and fathers have given their wives and daughters guns and told them that when the Taliban come, they can choose to kill them or kill themselves—it is their choice.
Taliban are also reportedly rifling through people’s phones to look for any apps that would give them away as Christians.
“We’re hearing from reliable sources that the Taliban demand people’s phones, and if they find a downloaded Bible on your device, they will kill you immediately,” said Dr. Rex Rogers, who is president of the Christian nonprofit organization SAT-7 North America, according to Religion News Service. “It’s incredibly dangerous right now for Afghans to have anything Christian on their phones. The Taliban have spies and informants everywhere.”
“Because it’s so dangerous to seek the company of other Christians, many Afghan believers are totally alone, with not even one other Christian with whom to talk,” Rogers said. “Our local director told me: ‘Most dare not attend a house church. They’re alone, fearful, and looking to us. We’re their last resort.'”
According to a video released by FAI, a member of the underground church in Afghanistan wept as he described the situation unfolding as the Taliban quickly resumes the reins of power.
“We are unable to control our emotions because we’ve worked so hard for 20 years,” the man said, whose grief was apparent despite his blurred face and disguised voice. “All of our work over the past 20 years has been lost overnight. Only God understands how much pain we have and how broken our hearts are. We are not crying out of fear, but because our hearts ache for our beautiful country. It has now been destroyed by this savage and extremist group. Claiming the whole world has abandoned us, the man went on to assert, “We are not leaving the field, we will fight harder and will continue in God’s work.”
“I’m sorry I cried and became emotional,” he later added. “My heart hurts.” 6
Surely, we Christians in America must be praying fervently for these brothers and sisters who are being massacred, even as I write. Their children are being abducted and/or left as orphans. Evil continues to envelop the land of Afghanistan. Only Almighty God can intervene on behalf of the families there.
Returning to our circumstances in America, the damage being done here and to our allies is enormous. Perhaps you saw Tucker Carlson’s television show on the evening of the bombing. He interviewed Miranda Devine. She is an Australian and a columnist for the New York Post. Tucker asked her, “What do you think the rest of the world is thinking about our country and the Biden administration at this moment?”
Devine replied, “I hate to say it, but you know, America, in one fell swoop has managed to make itself look untrustworthy, feckless, and weak. For a country that has the best military in the world—that is the leader of the free world—that the rest of the free world looks to for leadership—it’s gone and [left] a vacuum, and everyone is scrambling to figure out what to do. I mean today in the face of this disaster, this massacre at Kabul, the President….just went missing again.”7
I ask you, does it make sense for us to ignore these blunders and simply move on? To do so implies that the war against terrorism ended with our departure from Afghanistan. Knowledgeable observers tell us that it has most certainly not. Former Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta, a liberal and a career Democrat, obviously understands the implications. He said on CNN several weeks ago, “We’re going to have to go back in to get ISIS. We’re probably going to have to go back in when Al-Qaeda resurrects itself, as they will, with this Taliban.”8
Why would those with responsibility for protecting America continue to ignore the dangers it faces? Consider this: The Taliban, Al-Qaeda, ISIS and other terrorist groups still hope to humiliate and bring down what they call “The Great Satan.” We are sitting ducks for them as the southern border of the United States stands wide open. Also, since our ignominious surrender in Afghanistan, our politicians and generals have been importing thousands of unvetted Afghans to America and releasing them into the cultural mainstream. Common sense would tell us that there are probably huge numbers of trained terrorists within this hoard who are now planning their next move. We have to assume that it is true. We need to defend ourselves from those who hate us, yet the FBI and other intelligence entities have no idea who or where they are. The bottom line: If we do not carefully evaluate the parade of horrors that led to the tragedy of Afghanistan, AND if we fail to hold accountable those who were responsible for it, America could experience something worse than 9/11 in the future.
If you haven’t done so already, please contact your representatives today and demand that they call for a full investigation into the many failures in Afghanistan that brought us to this point. I’ll say it again for emphasis: Unless we identify the incompetent and foolish decision-makers who created the mess we are in today, those responsible for it may still be in power when the next crisis occurs. In that case, the past will be prologue.
Again, prayer is our best resource. Those of us with a Christian faith must petition our Heavenly Father for His blessings and protection. As King David wrote in Psalm 33:20, “… he is our hope and our shield.” For our part, we must never forget the lessons of 9/11—and of Afghanistan!

I support him taking the legal route to verify the election results.
The left has spent the last 4 years saying the 2016 election was stolen. The official decision by the Electoral College isn’t until December 14th so the entire country can wait until then to get the certified results. Neither the news media, nor anyone other than the Electoral College can call a certified winner.
When the Electoral College has finished their job, I support the outcome of those results and expect a peaceful transition of power should the current results stand.
In the meantime, I support the act of peaceful demonstrations, either in protest or celebration.
However, I do not and will not condone violence, looting, arson, or disrespect for law enforcement. Public demonstrations are part of our 1st Amendment rights, the other things I mentioned are against the law and not part of the 1st Amendment protections.
This will be my only post or comment here about this topic until December 14th.
In the meantime, God is in control…. so, Do The Right Thing!
Below, are my last 2 sermons that fit right in with this topic. The Saturday before the election was “No Matter Who Wins – God is Still in Control. Then the Saturday after the election was “So….Do The Right Thing”.
In an exclusive interview with The Logan Sekulow ReProgram, Ric Grenell shares that he was locked out of his Twitter account earlier this week after posting a completely valid mail-in ballot concern. Joining the show in-studio, the former Acting Director of National Intelligence explains what led to the account suspension, how President Trump got involved, and the status of his account as of today.
“They have these community policing people freezing you out, or knocking your content, or putting warnings on your content, and then when you have an appeal, there’s no appeal,” said Grenell. “This is like China, honestly. Businesses in China have the same issue. Here’s the directive, there’s no one to call, there’s no appeals process. You have to just deal with what we say.”
Grenell goes on to explain how it took President Trump and a member of the media to get his account issue resolved, at least for the time being.
“I’m not gonna let it go,” said Grenell. “I want Twitter to be accountable so that when you get locked out there’s any appeals process and an actual person you can call.”
Grenell was a member of President Donald J. Trump’s Cabinet, advising the President directly and regularly while serving as Acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI) in 2020. Previously, Grenell served as the U.S. Ambassador to Germany from 2018 to 2020, and as a U.S. State Department spokesperson to the United Nations under four different U.S. ambassadors during the George W. Bush administration. In August of this year, Grenell joined The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) as Special Advisor for National Security and Foreign Policy.

Many people are very concerned, and when you read comments from the President and Vice-President it is very understandable that all folks should be taking precautions with it comes to the Coronavirus.
Earlier today, Vice-President Pence said the following the morning after President Trump addressed the nation about the pandemic the entire world is battling.
“There’s been some irresponsible rhetoric, but the American people should know President Trump has no higher priority than the health and safety and well being of the people of this country,”
Being irresponsible is totally unacceptable during this time, and that includes many pastors who have said things that have not helped the panic here in America and around the world.
All that being said, the Bible tells us in Isaiah 41:10; “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
The book of Joshua also tells us in Joshua 1:9; “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
While there are many who believe that this crisis is blown out of proportion and a huge number are panicking and are fearful that large parts of the population may die.
As in all things in life, prayer is needed and not panic. Faith in God to do what He says in the verses above is needed. We need not play politics in times of crisis – we need to trust God and FEAR NOT.
It’s been almost two months since “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek announced his diagnosis with stage-four pancreatic cancer.
In a YouTube video posted in early March, Trebek noted that “normally the prognosis is not very encouraging,” but vowed to fight the disease “with the love of support of my family and friends, and with the help of your prayers … .”
Despite his determination and positive attitude, however, the 78-year-old game show icon revealed Wednesday the battle has taken an unexpected emotional toll.
Speaking to “Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts, Trebek explained that while his treatment is going as well as possible at this point, he feels the need to be candid with fans about his additional struggle with depression.

There is plenty of information and misinformation online about what happened in Washington D.C with students from Covington Catholic High School that was at the Lincoln Memorial after the March for Life.
I believe that the media jumped on a subject with partial video clips and soundbites that were taken out of context to make up a story that didn’t exist. Oh, the encounter happened – just now the way that was initially portrayed by the mainstream media.
No matter what you think happened or what really did happen, there is absolutely NO JUSTIFICATION FOR THE THREATS OF VIOLENCE that have been leveled against the school and individual students. Even if the students had been totally wrong (and I certainly don’t believe they were) that doesn’t mean that they deserve to be told that they should lock all the students in the school and then burn it down or have mass school shooting threatened.
There are plenty of marches, protests, and rallies that I take as highly offensive to me and my beliefs – and I never have attacked and threatened violence against those who participate, no matter how disgusted I am with what is said and done.
The school now as a special safety plan in place just for this issue and school is closed today over safety concerns.
Below, there is a partial story (read the full story by clicking the headline link) at CBN.com. There are videos from both sides of the story, plus tweets and official statements.
I challenge you to comment with statements decrying the threats of violence.
Some of the threats are too vile to repeat, but the teenage boys who were falsely accused of targeting a Native American demonstrator in Washington, DC have faced a massive wave of extremist, left-wing attacks. The mob of ranting, unhinged social media users has leveled threats of death and violence while others have been trying to have the boys’ parents fired from their jobs.
So Covington Catholic High School is closed today for the safety of the students and their families. “Please continue to keep the Covington Catholic Community in your prayers,” the principal says.
Two of the Covington students are speaking out about all the hate-filled backlash they, their classmates, and families have received. More about that in a minute.
But first, it turns out the media didn’t seek out all the facts in their rush to attack the boys. Additional videos of the incident reveal the boys were standing in front of the Lincoln Memorial after the March for Life, waiting for their bus to take them home to Kentucky. The boys were being taunted and attacked verbally by a group called the Black Hebrew Israelites. So the boys started chanting school spirit cheers.
That’s when a group of marching Native Americans came upon the scene. Nathan Phillips, an elderly leader from the group, then decided to wade into the middle of the crowd of teens while playing a drum and singing. Phillips says he wanted to bring peace, but video shows him singling out one of the boys, Nick Sandmann, who just stood there smiling while the man sang in his face while banging his drum. Members of the Native American group then told the media that the boys had blocked the elderly man’s path and were taunting him, but the videos tell a different story.
Safety plans in place.
Unedited raw video – short
This unedited video (with the original sound) is indisputable proof that the Native American man approached the Catholic school kids pic.twitter.com/cFi0qRYDg2
Long video of events there at the Lincoln Memorial
Details about the previous video from the person who posted it.
First 45 minutes are african americans being incredibly racist and threatening violence against the students directly. Kept that in the upload in case someone accuses me of deceptive editing. Nothing here was edited, at all. This is the whole video of the entire event. Starts getting interesting around @1:10:00 Native Americans invade the student rally at 1:11:24. You can see them come across directly, and instigate the confrontation with the kids. The kids were minding their own business. At NO point in the entire video do they chant “build the wall.”
“I don’t know what it says about me but I’ve truly lost the ability to articulate the hysterical rage, nausea, and heartache this makes me feel. I just want these people to die. Simple as that. Every single one of them. And their parents,” Abriss tweeted in response to the original video of Sandmann
The Diocese of Covington and Covington Catholic High School have issued the following statement:
We condemn the actions of the Covington Catholic High School students towards Nathan Phillips specifically, and Native Americans in general, Jan. 18, after the March for Life, in Washington, D.C. We extend our deepest apologies to Mr. Phillips. This behavior is opposed to the Church’s teachings on the dignity and respect of the human person.
The matter is being investigated and we will take appropriate action, up to and including expulsion.
We know this incident also has tainted the entire witness of the March for Life and express our most sincere apologies to all those who attended the March and all those who support the pro-life movement.
