Ministry Statement on Election Results

I am a Donald Trump supporter.

I support him taking the legal route to verify the election results.

The left has spent the last 4 years saying the 2016 election was stolen. The official decision by the Electoral College isn’t until December 14th so the entire country can wait until then to get the certified results. Neither the news media, nor anyone other than the Electoral College can call a certified winner.

When the Electoral College has finished their job, I support the outcome of those results and expect a peaceful transition of power should the current results stand.

In the meantime, I support the act of peaceful demonstrations, either in protest or celebration.

However, I do not and will not condone violence, looting, arson, or disrespect for law enforcement. Public demonstrations are part of our 1st Amendment rights, the other things I mentioned are against the law and not part of the 1st Amendment protections.

This will be my only post or comment here about this topic until December 14th.

In the meantime, God is in control…. so, Do The Right Thing!

Below, are my last 2 sermons that fit right in with this topic. The Saturday before the election was “No Matter Who Wins – God is Still in Control. Then the Saturday after the election was “So….Do The Right Thing”.

Remains of U.S. Returned from North Korea

Pence at honorable carry ceremony: Our boys are coming home – Vice President Mike Pence represents the Trump administration at honorable carry ceremony for presumed remains of U.S. soldiers returned by North Korea.

The human remains returned to the U.S. by North Korea last week are “consistent with being Americans,” according to an official who saw the contents of the 55 boxes.

It’s too early to know how many people are inside the boxes, John E. Byrd, a government scientist who oversees the laboratory examining the remains, told reporters Thursday.

One dog tag from a U.S. Army soldier was among the recovered equipment, and two sons of the deceased soldier will receive the dog tag next week.

Most of the remains returned to the U.S. were from the village of Sinheung Ri, near the Chosin Reservoir. The site hosted a famous battle fought from November to December of 1950 during the Korean War.

Byrd added that of all the possibilities, what surprised him most “was the great care that the North Koreans, the KPA, soldiers took in packaging and preparing those remains to be handed over to us.”

“They had been very carefully packaged with padding and packaging that was done to, I think, a very high standard,” he said.

Negotiate From A Position of Power

Back on April 27th, in a post titled “Will There Be A Peace Treaty?” I called President Donald Trump a master negotiator. The President’s letter below shows his negotiating ability and when you negotiate from a position of power, you have a much better chance of things working out in your way.

If you disagree, I would suggest you look at the skills President Ronald Reagan had with this topic. His negotiating ability from a position of power was unparalleled during my lifetime.

Less than a day after this letter was sent, North Korea was back asking for the negotiations to continue. Call a bullies bluff and most bullies will back down.

US Recognizes That Jerusalem Is The Official Capital of Israel

This will be the first of several things that the Ed Boston Podcast will be doing on this historic day, the move of the US Embassy to Jerusalem.

The following excerpt comes from a story at Newsweek.com.

President Donald Trump has fulfilled a “Biblical prophecy” by moving the United States embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, Judge Jeanine Pirro claimed on her Fox News show on Saturday. The new embassy, which has been met by criticism from Palestinians and the European Union, is set to open on Monday.

Pirro was in Israel ahead of the relocation from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Calling the move a “truly historic moment in Israel’s history,” Pirro said Trump’s decision to relocate the embassy was one celebrated by the people of Israel.

Breaking News: North Korea To Suspend Missle Testing and Closing A Nuclear Test Site

In a stunning announcement today, North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un seems to cave to international pressure in regards to its nuclear program, just days before a scheduled meeting with American President Donald Trump.

We’ll have to see how good the word of “Rocket Man” really is.

Below is the beginning of a story from Fox News, click the headline link below to read the entire story.

North Korea announces end to missile testing as Trump cites ‘big progress’

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un announced Friday that his country will be suspending missile testing and closing a nuclear test site, several reports said.

“From April 21, North Korea will stop nuclear tests and launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles,” the Korean Central News Agency said, according to Yonhap News. “The North will shut down a nuclear test site in the country’s northern side to prove the vow to suspend nuclear test.”

The announcement comes amid preparations for a meeting later this year between President Trump and the North Korean dictator. During the summit, Trump said he expected to talk with Kim about denuclearizing the hermit kingdom.

Statements About and Funeral Information For Barbara Bush

Statement from President George H W Bush:

Former President George H.W. Bush, who held his wife’s hand all day Tuesday before she died, released his first statement following Barbara Bush’s death through his spokesman Wednesday.

“I always knew Barbara was the most beloved woman in the world, and in fact I used to tease her that I had a complex about that fact,” Bush said in the statement. “But the truth is the outpouring of love and friendship being directed at The Enforcer is lifting us all up. We have faith she is in heaven, and we know life will go on — as she would have it. So cross the Bushes off your worry list.”

Statement from President George W. Bush

My dear mother has passed on at age 92. Laura, Barbara, Jenna, and I are sad, but our souls are settled because we know hers was. Barbara Bush was a fabulous First Lady and a woman unlike any other who brought levity, love, and literacy to millions. To us, she was so much more. Mom kept us on our toes and kept us laughing until the end. I’m a lucky man that Barbara Bush was my mother. Our family will miss her dearly, and we thank you all for your prayers and good wishes.

Statement from Jeb Bush

“I’m exceptionally privileged to be the son of George Bush and the exceptionally gracious, gregarious, fun, funny, loving, tough, smart, graceful woman who was the force of nature known as Barbara Bush.”

White House Statement on Barbara Bush

Former First Lady Barbara Bush passed away yesterday in Houston, Texas. She was 92. Along with Abigail Adams, Mrs. Bush is one of only two First Ladies in American history to see a child follow her husband to the U.S. Presidency.

The White House released this statement last night:

President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump join the Nation in celebrating the life of Barbara Bush. As a wife, mother, grandmother, military spouse, and former First Lady, Mrs. Bush was an advocate of the American family. Amongst her greatest achievements was recognizing the importance of literacy as a fundamental family value that requires nurturing and protection. She will be long remembered for her strong devotion to country and family, both of which she served unfailingly well. The President and First Lady’s thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Mrs. Bush.

The U.S. flag will fly at half-staff until sunset of the day that Mrs. Bush is laid to rest.

Karen and I send our deepest sympathies to President Bush and the entire Bush family with the passing of Barbara Bush. Barbara Bush was a woman of unique strength and grace whose devotion to her family was an inspiration to every American. Mrs. Bush’s example in public life and her encouragement made a lasting impact on our family, as it did on the families of millions of Americans, and she will be missed. We offer our deepest condolences to the entire Bush family during this difficult time and we will be praying for all who mourn the passing of this good and great woman. God bless Barbara Bush.

Our hearts are with the Bush family as we celebrate the life and mourn the loss of Barbara Bush.  Throughout her life, she put family and country above all else.  Her dedicated service to the American people was matched only by her compassion and love of family.  She was a woman of strength and we will always remember her for her most important roles of wife, mother, and First Lady of the United States.  My heartfelt condolences and prayers are with the Bush family as we honor her legacy.

Dolly Just Continues To Be A Class Act

Source: Clash America.com

In the article, Watch: ABC Tries To Get Dolly To Diss Donald – Here’s Dolly’s Response, there is highlighted an exchange between Dolly Parton and ABC’s Nightline correspondent David Wright. The exchange went like this:

ABC: The sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical portrayed so effectively in (9 to 5) by actor Dabney Coleman hasn’t exactly disappeared from the culture. We have a president of the United States who said the things on that bus.

DOLLY: I’m not addressing that; I do not get into that. Of course, I have my opinion about everybody and everything, but I learned a long time ago keep your damn mouth shut if you want to stay in show business. I’m not in politics, I am an entertainer.

ABC: And yet you’re also a role model.

DOLLY: Yes, I am. That’s why I don’t talk about people.

And here is the video clip:

It never gets old watching someone Do The Right Thing! Thank you Dolly for having such class.
