I’ve gotta keep the calm before the storm
I don’t want less
I don’t want more
Must bar the windows and the doors
To keep me safe to keep me warm
Yeah my life is what I’m fighting for
Can’t part the sea
Can’t reach the shore
And my voice becomes the driving force
I won’t let this pull me overboard
God keep my head above water
Don’t let me drown
It gets harder
I’ll meet you there at the altar
As I fall down to my knees
Don’t let me drown
Don’t let me drown
So pull me up from down below
‘Cause I’m underneath the undertow
Come dry me off and hold me close
I need you now I need you most
God keep my head above water
Don’t let me drown
It gets harder
I’ll meet you there at the altar
As I fall down to my knees
Don’t let me drown
Don’t let me drown
Don’t let me drown
Keep my head above water above water
And I can’t see in the stormy weather
I can’t seem to keep it all together
And I can’t swim the ocean like this forever
And I can’t breathe
God keep my head above water
I lose my breath at the bottom
Come rescue me
I’ll be waiting
I’m too young to fall asleep
God keep my head above water
Don’t let me drown
It gets harder
I’ll meet you there at the altar
As I fall down to my knees
Don’t let me drown
Don’t let me drown
Don’t let me drown
Keep my head above water above water

So happy to share this story from TrevorDecker.com written by our friend Vanessa Vasquez.
If you’re an Avril Lavigne fan then today is a fantastic day. In 2014 it was revealed that the singer-songwriter had been battling a severe case of Lyme disease, leaving many fans uncertain of what would happen next.
Recently in an open letter on her website Avril recalls a time early in her diagnoses where she felt that she was at death’s door, she didn’t want to die and had more to live for she cried out to God and thus Head Above Water was born.
God keep my head above water. Don’t let me drown it gets harder, I’ll meet you there at the alter as I fall down to my knees.

To pay our R E S P E C T to the memory of Aretha Franklin – The Queen of Soul, we thought we would share classic Christian Hymn that she recorded in 1999.
The Ed Boston Podcast Network along with other media outlets have been notified by reps for Stryper via press announcement that Stryper band member Oz Fox has suffered a “medical emergency”. We send our thoughts and prayers. Please see full statement below:
Official Statement from STRYPER Regarding Band Member Oz Fox
Sunday, August 12, 2018 — News began circulating this morning that Stryper’s Oz Fox suffered a medical emergency on stage in Las Vegas overnight. In order to provide accurate information and dispel any rumors, the band has issued an official statement:
Our dear friend and lead-guitarist Oz Fox fell ill Saturday night while performing in Las Vegas with a side project that he sometimes plays in when not touring with Stryper. Oz suffered a seizure causing a fall on stage. After performing an MRI, doctors discovered an area of concern near his brain which they are now running a biopsy on. The doctors have instructed him not to drive or fly for 90 days. No additional information is available at this time. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers and we will communicate additional information as it becomes available.
The logistics and options for current tour dates are being discussed with the respective promoters. U.S. tour dates will play as scheduled and in anticipation of a full recovery will include Oz Fox. The upcoming Australian tour will be performed as a trio (with the blessing of Oz), and will include Michael Sweet, Robert Sweet, and Perry Richardson. For our fans in Japan, please await an announcement from the concert promoter there as to the plans for the Japan tour.
New information will first be communicated via Stryper.com and Stryper’s official Facebook page.
Rocking since 1984, STRYPER is responsible for such classic ’80s metal albums as Soldiers Under Command, To Hell with the Devil and In God We Trust. In fact, STRYPER is the first band to ever have two songs in MTV’s Top 10 simultaneously with their hits “Free” and “Honestly.” After a sabbatical for much of the 1990’s, STRYPER returned strong in the early 21st century. Their latest album, God Damn Evil (Frontiers Music srl), was released in April. To date, the Dove Award-winning and GRAMMY-nominated band has sold over 10 million records worldwide.

Back in 2012 and 2013, we had 3 different podcasts with guests from the music group Everlife. The final time we had them on in March of 2013, Ed Boston traveled to Franklin, TN to do a live interview with all three of the sisters in the group just before they went on stage for the last time. In over 1600 podcasts, that one was one of only a handful that Ed traveled to and did an in-person live podcast.
In the article below, TrevorDecker.com shares that just maybe Everlife has one more project in the works.
Here are the links to the three podcast we have done that included members of Everlife.

Gospel Group Zion’s Joy! to Perform on TBN’s HUCKABEE This Weekend
Gospel group Zion’s Joy! will be the featured musical guest on the highly acclaimed TBN series HUCKABEE, airing Saturday, July 14 and Sunday, July 15 at 8/7c. Viewers can find their local TBN channel and streaming info HERE.
Zion’s Joy! will perform their new single, “What Would Heaven Look Like.” The song unexpectedly made news headlines last week after Facebook flagged the music video as “political content” and blocked the video from the social media platform. Extensive media coverage followed, including an interview with the New York Times (July 5) and a prime time interview with Dana Perino on Fox News Channel (July 6).
Facebook ultimately restored the video and apologized to the group. In a statement, Facebook said “we made an error by deleting the original post. As soon as we identified what happened, we restored the post since it does not violate our community standards and have apologized to Zion’s Joy.”
“Zion’s Joy! is honored to have been invited to appear with Gov. Mike Huckabee on his successful new prime time program,” says the group’s founder, Robert W. Stevenson. “We’re grateful for the opportunity that so many media outlets have provided us this past week, and now we look forward to performing for America on HUCKABEE this weekend!”
The Indianapolis-based Gospel group has performed throughout the United States since 2008, using their powerful voices and tight, rich harmonies to deliver a unique blend of old and new school gospel and contemporary Christian music. The line-up consists of Kay Insley, Camille McKnight, Lia Matthews, Karen Hall, Shekinah Caldron, Lynesha Sweeney, Patrick Taylor, Jeffery Porter and Ramone Griffith.
“What Would Heaven Look Like” is the title track from their upcoming album due later this year from Habakkuk Music/InGrooves/Universal.

“To say that we were disappointed to see that Facebook had removed our video would be a gross understatement,” says group member Kay Insley. “I have to wonder if the content of the song was truly examined. In a time where the country seems to be more and more divided, we wanted to share a message of hope, love and universal togetherness. It seems in Facebook’s attempts to curtail questionable content they cracked down on a song trying to bring healing to our nation. We are a group made up of different cultures and beliefs from both sides of the aisle and reviewed the video extensively to make sure its content was not divisive. Within the first week of its release, we had people from all over the political spectrum and a broad range of religious beliefs reach out letting us know how much the video had meaningfully impacted them. Do we really live in a time where making a positive statement about people coming together is deemed political?”
Zion’s Joy! was founded by Robert W. The line-up consists of Kay Insley, Camille McKnight, Lia Matthews, Karen Hall, Shekinah Caldron, Lynesha Sweeney, Patrick Taylor, Jeffery Porter and Ramone Griffith.
“This song has brought healing and hope to thousands that have listened to it,” says group member Karen Hall. “Our hope is that it would inspire people to love each other the way God loves us – unconditionally! We want Facebook to allow us to continue to spread this message.”
