When An Atheist Says People Should Be Worried About The Decline of Christianity

Outspoken atheist Richard Dawkins shared a Guardian article about the decline of Christianity in Europe – and said people should be worried, as well as quoted a Catholic author!

In an article titled: “Atheist Richard Dawkins Warns Post-Christian Europe May Be Worse, Quotes Catholic Writer” at the ChurchPop.com website, we here at the Ed Boston Podcast Network have to wonder out loud, just what does this mean?

Take your time and check this out.

Listen To All Of Hillsong Worship’s New Release

Here is the link to a recent podcast where I give my thoughts and read scripture as we share the music from Hillsong Worship’s latest release – There is More. I know you will enjoy.

———–

Hillsong Worship has released it’s latest album, There Is More. The following is from the Hillsong website:

In Genesis 32 we read the story of Jacob wrestling with God through the night. On the other side of Jacob’s divine encounter was a new name, a new blessing, a new identity and a new way of walking (literally). Will we be a worshipping people who are not content to sleep through the night (spiritually speaking) and wake in the morning unchanged? Like Jacob, will we enter into the wrestle with God, dare to know Him more intimately and be changed in the process?

This is the premise for Hillsong Worship’s 26th live praise and worship album. The title, “THERE IS MORE”, truly is a statement-of-belief more than a record title. As Brooke Ligertwood writes, “THERE IS MORE at stake than we dare realize – souls, communities, families, nations on the other side of our wrestle through the night seasons. Our personal freedom is for corporate revival. THERE IS MORE of God and more to God and His love than we can possibly conceive of.”

With songs such as, “Who You Say I Am”, “Be Still”, “The Passion” and “New Wine”, “THERE IS MORE” strikes the balance of contemplative devotion and powerful declarations of praise for both individuals and congregations alike.

The prophetic proclamation that “THERE IS MORE” is certainly a theme of Hillsong Church in 2018. Global Senior Pastor Brian Houston’s book and the annual Hillsong Conference carry the same name, “THERE IS MORE”.

You Probably Haven’t Heard About This Student Walk-Out

There has been lots of press about student walk-outs recently, but I’m going to bet that you haven’t heard about this one, at least not from the mainstream media.

The information below is from FaithWire.com and you can click that link to read the full story about student groups across the nation that joined together to stand up for the rights of the unborn.

The walk-outs happened last week, but the topic is just too important not to share.

Ed

————————

Today, around 350 student groups from across the nation are joining together for a school walkout in the name of life. The event, sponsored by groups such as the Family Research Council, Oklahoma Teens for Life and the Massachusetts Family Institute, is calling for an end to abortion and the immediate defunding of abortive business Planned Parenthood.

“On Wednesday, April 11th, we will walk out of our classes for 17 minutes of silence and prayer. We will stand silently outside honoring the 10 children who will violently die during that time at a Planned Parenthood abortion facility,” the event’s website detailed. “We will rally and demand the end of Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer-funded empire. We will kneel and pray for the end of legal abortion in our nation.”

Pledge to Remember

Shalom, Ed,

No one who experiences Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) in Israel ever forgets it. And from sundown April 11 to sundown April 12, something very moving will happen.

At precisely 10 am, for two minutes, sirens sound across the country. All activity literally comes to a halt. People stop working, pedestrians pause, cars pull over to the side of the road, and Israel is united in silent remembrance of the six million people murdered during this terrible chapter in history.

This year, as Israel prepares to celebrate her 70th birthday, I am asking friends of Israel everywhere to show their solidarity with the Jewish state that rose from the ashes of the Holocaust by observing two minutes of silence to remember those who perished.

In the Bible, God told Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones – the people of Israel – “I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land” (Ezekiel 37:14). For 70 years, the modern state of Israel has stood as fulfillment of this prophecy.

Thank you, my friend. Your moment of silence will remind the world that we must “never forget” the Holocaust – and that we must continue to support Israel, the sovereign Jewish state that for 70 years has been a refuge where Jewish people can live in safety.

With prayers for shalom, peace,

img_5594

Check that out! Three faith-based movies all in the top 12 last weekend. Think maybe the movie industry will realize that this is a major market?  When you look at the gross ticket sales for the three combined – it’s $16.4 million.

If you’ve not seen any of the three, there is still time, and if you’ve already seen one (or more) it’s ok to go again. We certainly need to support our faith-based movies!

Here are the official websites for each movie:
