Anti-Christian sentiment and the censorship of Christian views on places like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter are increasingWe need to be realistic about the future and our ability to continue using social media and YouTube platforms, as there is a potential we could be censored or banned due to our biblical views, including our stand that marriage is for a man and a woman, abortion is murder, and gender is binary (male and female)This relationship with PureFlix.com protects our content and allows as many people as possible to learn more about the truth of God’s Word and the gospel.

Ken Ham stated, “With so much uncertainty regarding the freedom to express the Christian worldview in our culture, we considered it important to use other platforms for our ongoing mission to reach the public with our video contentTherefore, AiG decided to pursue this agreement with PureFlix.comOther ministries no doubt will do something similar.”

“We’re thrilled to add Answers in Genesis to our roster of partners,” said PureFlix.com CEO Greg Gudorf“Our subscribers are looking for content with a Christian worldview, and we and our partners strive to provide them exactly what they’re seeking.”

Latest News from Zion’s Joy! Band to Appear on TBN Series – Huckabee

Gospel Group Zion’s Joy! to Perform on TBN’s HUCKABEE This Weekend

Gospel group Zion’s Joy! will be the featured musical guest on the highly acclaimed TBN series HUCKABEE, airing Saturday, July 14 and Sunday, July 15 at 8/7c. Viewers can find their local TBN channel and streaming info HERE.

Zion’s Joy! will perform their new single, “What Would Heaven Look Like.” The song unexpectedly made news headlines last week after Facebook flagged the music video as “political content” and blocked the video from the social media platform. Extensive media coverage followed, including an interview with the New York Times (July 5) and a prime time interview with Dana Perino on Fox News Channel (July 6).

Facebook ultimately restored the video and apologized to the group. In a statement, Facebook said “we made an error by deleting the original post. As soon as we identified what happened, we restored the post since it does not violate our community standards and have apologized to Zion’s Joy.”

“Zion’s Joy! is honored to have been invited to appear with Gov. Mike Huckabee on his successful new prime time program,” says the group’s founder, Robert W. Stevenson. “We’re grateful for the opportunity that so many media outlets have provided us this past week, and now we look forward to performing for America on HUCKABEE this weekend!”

The Indianapolis-based Gospel group has performed throughout the United States since 2008, using their powerful voices and tight, rich harmonies to deliver a unique blend of old and new school gospel and contemporary Christian music. The line-up consists of Kay Insley, Camille McKnight, Lia Matthews, Karen Hall, Shekinah Caldron, Lynesha Sweeney, Patrick Taylor, Jeffery Porter and Ramone Griffith.

“What Would Heaven Look Like” is the title track from their upcoming album due later this year from Habakkuk Music/InGrooves/Universal.

Ride For Freedom Bike Team Crossing USA to Fight Human Trafficking

Ride For Freedom Bike Team Crossing USA to Fight Human Trafficking

Four young men with no biking experience or formal training are attempting to bike 3,200 miles in 50 days to raise money to fight human trafficking. Tanner Ming (20), Andre Palare (20), Anthony Kucich (21) and Garrett Ming (21) started their Ride for Freedom in Florence, Oregon on June 16, and they will arrive in New York City in early August, completing a grueling coast-to-coast journey.

The Ride for Freedom bike team is biking 80-110 miles a day, with only what they can carry on their backs. In a complete step of faith, the bikers will be searching for a new place to stay every night, whether it be donated hotel rooms, private homes, church pews or a tent on the side of the road.

Before launching their cross-country trek, none of the team members had ridden more than 10 miles at a time. Plans to train in advance were thwarted by financial woes, which found the team unable to purchase the bikes until just one week before they left Oregon.

The team has already overcome extreme conditions and complications. They’ve been badly sunburned, tortured by mosquitos (up to 60 bites each), and they endured a 20 mile ride through a brutal rainstorm. In early July, the team found themselves in the middle of nowhere on a 50-mile stretch without water and battling heat exhaustion. On many nights, they’ve been forced to camp on the side of the road in tents they carry on their backs. Earlier this month, Garrett was forced to drop out of the ride due to exhaustion, and he will be replaced by Justin Rodriguez (21) on July 14th.

The International Labor Organization estimated that there were 20.9 million people trafficked for forced labor in 2012, and 4.5 million of those were victims of forced sexual exploitation. Ride For Freedom wants to end this crisis.

Donations to Ride for Freedom can be made HERE. All funds raised will go directly to Agape International Missions (AIM), with the goal of stopping the cycle of exploitation by preventing trafficking and rescuing, restoring and reintegrating survivors. For every thousand dollars raised by Ride for Freedom, AIM is able to send in a physical rescue team to a brothel in order to rescue one woman and place her in an ongoing rehabilitation process.

The Ride for Freedom bike team came together through their church, Higher Vision, a multigenerational congregation located in the northern Los Angeles area.

Facebook Apologizes To Zion’s Joy!

Gospel Group Zion’s Joy! Receives Apology From Facebook Following Media Coverage of Music Video Ban

Gospel group Zion’s Joy! made news headlines last week after Facebook took down the music video for their new single, “What Would Heaven Look Like” – the title track from their upcoming album from Habakkuk Music/InGrooves/Universal. Earlier this month, Facebook flagged the video as “political content” and blocked the video from the social media platform. Extensive media coverage followed, including the New York Times (July 5) and a prime time interview with Fox News Channel’s Dana Perino (July 6), and Facebook ultimately restored the video and apologized to the group.

In a statement, Facebook said “we made an error by deleting the original post. As soon as we identified what happened, we restored the post since it does not violate our community standards and have apologized to Zion’s Joy.”

“This song is about love and it’s about unity and it’s about hope,” group member Kay Insley told Dana Perino on Fox News Channel. “So we were incredibly shocked when Facebook came and took this song, this message that so needs to be heard right now down. We just couldn’t believe it.”

Zion’s Joy! was founded by Robert W. Stevenson in 2008 and in the decade that followed they have performed throughout the United States, using their powerful voices and tight, rich harmonies to deliver a unique blend of old and new school gospel and contemporary Christian music. The line-up consists of Kay Insley, Camille McKnight, Lia Matthews, Karen Hall, Shekinah Caldron, Lynesha Sweeney, Patrick Taylor, Jeffery Porter and Ramone Griffith.

“We invite people to come be a part of what we are doing,” said Insley on Fox News Channel. “And the positivity that we are spreading not only locally, but really trying to pursue around the world. We are actually really thankful for this opportunity. Something that was negative has been turned into a positive and now we are having the ability to get our message out even more now.”

This Is An Outrage! Facebook Bans and Delete’s This Christian Band’s Song About Unity.

This video has been banned and removed by Facebook.
https://youtu.be/e4LIoDk3_l0
Now, if you want to see the lyric video, it’s posted at the very end of this post. After my comments, there is the press release from  Nashville Publicity giving details of what happened.
The song is titled, What Would Heaven Look Like by Zion’s Joy! This is one part of the lyrics:

People of every color loving one another tell me
What would heaven look like?
Bigotry and hate are absent only love and peace are present tell me
What would heaven feel like?

What Facebook has done here is TOTALLY insane! Did they even listen to or read the lyrics?????? This is an outrage no matter if you are Christian or not. This is difficult to understand and we take it as a personal affront to what we do and stand “unified” with Zion’s Joy! to express our outrage.
We are currently working with representatives of the group to have someone from Zion’s Joy! on our podcast.
We’re going to work hard to get this message out and need your help to expose Facebook for what they have done here.  This song says everything that is the answer to what’s wrong in America. This just shows how far the left will go to keep strife going. They must not want unity!!!
Our friends at TrevorDecker.com are on this too and are upset just as we are. Click here!

Here is the press release from Nashville Publicity and then the lyric video.

Facebook Bans Faith-Based Music Video from Gospel Group Zion’s Joy!

Thursday, July 5, 2018 — In mid-June, Gospel group Zion’s Joy! quietly released a music video for their new single, “What Would Heaven Look Like” – the title track from their upcoming album from Habakkuk Music/InGrooves/Universal.
On or about July 1st, with over 12,000 views and climbing, Facebook deleted the video without warning or notification. Attempts to reach Facebook to find a resolution were unsuccessful. The video remained off of Facebook’s radar until the group attempted to “boost” (a paid promotion that increases the post’s visibility) the post of the video on the Zion’s Joy! Facebook page. The boosted post was rejected by Facebook “because of political content.” Soon after, the video and post were deleted from Facebook altogether. Not only is the song and music video absent of “political content,” but it’s message of love and unity is deliberately clear…
People of every color loving one another tell me
What would heaven look like?
Bigotry and hate are absent only love and peace are present tell me
What would heaven feel like?

“To say that we were disappointed to see that Facebook had removed our video would be a gross understatement,” says group member Kay Insley. “I have to wonder if the content of the song was truly examined. In a time where the country seems to be more and more divided, we wanted to share a message of hope, love and universal togetherness. It seems in Facebook’s attempts to curtail questionable content they cracked down on a song trying to bring healing to our nation. We are a group made up of different cultures and beliefs from both sides of the aisle and reviewed the video extensively to make sure its content was not divisive. Within the first week of its release, we had people from all over the political spectrum and a broad range of religious beliefs reach out letting us know how much the video had meaningfully impacted them. Do we really live in a time where making a positive statement about people coming together is deemed political?”

Zion’s Joy! was founded by Robert W.

“This song has brought healing and hope to thousands that have listened to it,” says group member Karen Hall. “Our hope is that it would inspire people to love each other the way God loves us – unconditionally! We want Facebook to allow us to continue to spread this message.”

Kennedy’s retirement from the Supreme Court prompts pro-life hopes

The retirement announcement of Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy has led pro-life advocates to voice hope that his successor could help overturn Roe v. Wade in coming years.

Kennedy submitted his formal resignation on Wednesday, in a letter to President Donald Trump.

Supreme Court sides with pro-life pregnancy centers in California abortion case

The Supreme Court on Tuesday blocked a California law requiring pro-life pregnancy centers to post information on programs to obtain and free or low-cost abortion.

The 5-4 ruling in National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA) v. Becerra sent the case back to a lower court to be reconsidered, in light of the Supreme Court’s finding that “We hold that petitioners are likely to succeed on the merits of their claim that the FACT Act violates the First Amendment.”

Lower courts had rejected a petition to temporarily block the California law while it was being legally challenged. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the case against the law was unlikely to succeed on its merits.

16-year-old boy with cancer uses his Make a Wish to ask for an end to abortion

When you’re 16 years old and living with and dying from cancer, no one would expect you to use the wish granted to you by the Make a Wish Foundation in a completely selfless way. But that’s just what Jeremiah Thomas did. In March, the all-star, state champion athlete was diagnosed with osteoblastic osteosarcoma, a bone cancer that is resistant to radiation therapy and has a survival rate of just 10 percent. With a tumor dangerously close to his heart and two on his spine, his doctors told his parents that it was too late. He was paralyzed from the waist down from the tumor on his spine but it didn’t hold him back.

“I can still preach from a wheelchair,” he said.

California teacher under investigation for showing Live Action abortion videos

A middle school teacher in Sacramento, California, is under investigation by the Sacramento City Unified School District after showing videos about the reality of abortion. The Sacramento Bee reports that parents complained after their children watched the video series at AbortionProcedures.com, in which former abortionist Dr. Anthony Levatino describes the most commonly used abortion procedures during each trimester of pregnancy.

Email from CareNet.org

Good morning, Ed!

One year ago, I was busy putting the final touches on Care Net’s brand new resource, Pro-Life 101. This first-ever, free online course helps pro-life people learn the history of abortion and how they can reach those facing difficult pregnancy decisions with the compassion, hope, and help of Jesus.

The response has been fantastic!

Ed, since the course launched on July 1, 2017 more than 18,000 people have enrolled and are learning to transform their pro-life passion into life-saving action! Isn’t that incredible?

Each weekly session takes about fifteen minutes, and the entire self-led course is only 6-weeks long.  Each student learns the facts about abortion and the abortion industry and how to confidently and lovingly stand for the unborn whose lives hang in the balance.

Imagine how many babies this training could help you save.

Every day, the abortion industry continues to fill the minds of Americans with lies about its grisly, destructive work. There is a critical need for reliable information about the abortion epidemic and its far-reaching consequences so that we, as pro-life supporters, can stand up for the most vulnerable among us. This year, close to a million babies are expected to lose their lives in abortion if we don’t act.

But how can we take action if we aren’t equipped?

That’s why I wanted to make sure that you have an opportunity to experience Pro-Life 101. Your passion to see unborn lives saved from abortion is clear, Ed, and I know that you would benefit from this course.

You can sign up today for free here: https://resources.care-net.org/pro-life-101/

I hope to see you complete the course! Together, we can save these babies and introduce their parents to the marvelous love of Jesus Christ.

In Christ,

Ardee
