A New Year, A New Decade and a New Focus

A few moments to look back, but more importantly a look at the future.

Ed Boston Ministries has gone by many names and has been primarily a Chriatian podcast since the beginning back in 2008.

There have been political discussions, interviews, road trips, celebrity friends of the podcast, sermons preached, and so much more.

The first 12 years have served as a huge learning experience and it’s now time to move forward and seek God’s deeper will for this ministry.

With a new Decade here, the goal for this ministry is to be more bold for Christ.

What exactly does that mean? What will be different in 2020 than any other of the previous 12 years?

The focus is what will be different. In the past, the podcast has been the central part of the ministry. The podcast will continue, but you will hear less interviews and more specific Ed Boston Ministries original material.

There will be a church service each week at 7 pm eastern that will be simulcast on Facebook Live and YouTube.

The service will be designed to be the same as if you were actually in the church building.

A greeting, scripture readings, music, sermon, alter call, offering opportunities and communion on some occasions will be part of the service.

Many believe that we are living in the end times. Again, with that in mind, top focus needs to be on winning lost souls to Christ.

Another priority will be short 4-6 minute YouTube videos on relevant Christian topics. Pastors need to share their take issues that affect our Christian walk and that is what the plan is for these videos.

There will still be interviews, but the focus on them will be much less.

It’s a New Year, a New Decade and now there is a New Focus.

It’s Giving Tuesday and You Can Help Ed Boston Ministries

Today is considered Giving Tuesday, and I have never done anything like this before. Everything that’s a part of Ed Boston Ministries – from this website to buying business cards and everything in between is funded by Amy and I, except for about $100 this year.

Something that each person that reads this can do is pray for us individually and our ministry.

We have big plans for 2020, but with big plans come higher expenses. Would you consider helping our ministry by going to this link at our podcast host Anchor.fm then clicking the “support this podcast” link?

There are three donation selections $0.99, $4.99, and $9.99  monthly.

If a monthly program is not for you and you would like to give a one-time gift, you can go to our PayPal account https://www.paypal.me/edbostonministries and make your donation there.

We appreciate all of you and thank you for helping us spread the gospel of Jesus Christ all around the world.

Announcing Ed Boston Ministries

We would like to introduce you to Ed Boston Ministries. We aren’t changing things, we’re just adding to what we already do. EdBoston.com will continue to be the hub for everything we do, and the Ed Boston Podcast will still be up and running as it has been since 2008.

So what is Ed Boston Ministries and what is different than what we have done up to now?

Here are several things that will be part of Ed Boston Ministries:

  • EdBostonMinistries.com website will be up and running very soon.
  • There will be weekly sermons (some new and some throwback from the past).
  • A brand new 24/7 RADIO STATION playing Christian Music along with sharing Sermons and Podcasts from our ministry sites.
  • The radio station link which for now will be Ed Boston Radio and which is now live is:   http://listen.samcloud.com/w/93506/Ed-Boston-Radio-Network#history
  • There will be a place on EdBostonMinistries.com for you to contact us about having Pastor Ed come and speak for your event or Church service for one day or multiple services.
  • A brand new focus on Prayer, receiving Prayer Requests and sharing Prayer issues.
  • There will be opportunities to contribute to our ministry efforts. As we expand what we are doing, additional expenses are involved. The ministry has no source of income other than what we put into it. If we are to grow the way we believe God is leading us, then we are going to need the financial help of those who support us.
  • We will continue to publish interview podcasts, and we will also be adding additional podcasts on Biblical Topics.

Please be praying for Pastor Ed and Amy as they follow the call that God has placed upon them.

Amy and Ed

One Year Ago Today

One year ago today, February 26th of 2017, my wonderful wife Amy suffered a stroke. Thankfully, God wasn’t ready just yet to take her home. She has been through so much in the last year, that it’s only appropriate that I give thanks to the Lord for the blessing that Amy truly is to me and so many others.

She has endured numerous days in the hospital on more than one occasion,  several trips to the ER, weeks and weeks of speech therapy, countless doctor appointments, the guilt of raking up thousands of dollars of medical bills, and so much more.

If you feel led to comment to Amy, you can do so in the comment section below or by going here.

May God continue to bless Amy in all that she does!

Ed and Amy Give Thanks

Amy and I would like to say that we are thankful for so many things. We are thankful that John 3:16 holds true today as it always has, so we know that God loves us and has made a way for us to be with Him in heaven.

We are thankful for our marriage and our blended family. Our 8 children and our 14 grandchildren plus our parents and siblings. Also for our aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

We are thankful that God allowed us to be born in a country as great as the USA. With all of her problems, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

Finally, we are grateful for the ministry opportunities that God provides for us. Our online ministry and podcast work are blessings beyond belief. Because of that ministry work, we are thankful for each and every person that is a part of helping with what we do – those who listen to, read, and watch the podcast, website, and videos we put out.

Please Lord, provide us with more and more opportunities to share your love with others.

Go out and Do The Right Thing!
