The plan for today was for Amy and I to record a Christmas video to our family, friends and followers. Unfortunately, my voice is totally gone making the video impossible.
Amy and I are in total awe of the support we receive in all of the different legs our ministry efforts.
To those who are part of The Father’s House, the home church that we founded that will begin year 4 in January – thank you for helping us keep a promise to God that if He allowed us to buy Amy’s childhood home that we would use it for His glory.
To our wonderful Old Union Church family, thank you for adopting us into your community, your families, and your church. We are truly blessed to be a part of something special that God has big plans for.
To our faithful Prayer and Share prayer warriors, you are amazing with prayers requests for over 700 situations having been shared and prayed for. What started as a prayer service about the pandemic in March of 2020, has morphed into many miracles, healings, and friendships with folks we would have never known.
To those who have ever been a part of the over 2000 episodes of The Ed Boston Podcast, you have helped this small town pastor do things that I would never have imagined. I’ve interviewed and prayed with a member of the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame: 2 winners, a runner-up, and finalist of America’s Got Talent; and a well known actress who most know from her role as an angel. I could name a long list of people you would recognize and proud to say that even though they may be rich or famous, they are just wonderful human beings like you and I. My friend Trevor, all the PR reps and contacts have been such a huge part of The Ed Boston podcast and I’m looking for big things to happen in 2024.
Friends of the Podcast are folks who have been interviewed by Pastor Ed Boston and appeared on an episode of The Ed Boston Podcast. We like to keep track of our “Friends”. This press release includes both John Schneider and Victoria Jackson

As a pastor deeply invested in stories that uplift the spirit and celebrate faith, I am thrilled to share my thoughts on the recently released trailer for the upcoming movie Unsung Hero, due in theaters April 26, 2024. This film, a dramatic true story of an immigrant family’s journey and their remarkable contribution to inspirational music, resonates with the values we cherish in our community.
Unsung Hero tells the heartfelt story of David Smallbone’s family. When David’s successful music company in Australia collapses, he, along with his pregnant wife, Helen, portrayed by Joel Smallbone and Daisy Betts respectively, move their family to the United States in search of a brighter future. With nothing but their seven children, suitcases, and an unwavering love for music, they set out to rebuild their lives. This narrative is not just about overcoming adversity; it’s a testament to the power of faith and family.
The trailer, released this week, offers a poignant glimpse into the struggles of the Smallbone family before they rose to fame in the Christian music industry. It showcases the cultural and financial challenges they faced and the resilience that Helen, the family’s matriarch, instilled in them through her unwavering faith. This faith was the cornerstone that kept the family strong and united through various trials, ultimately leading to the discovery of the children’s musical talents.
Joel Smallbone, a member of the five-time Grammy Award-winning group for KING + COUNTRY, not only plays his father in the film but also co-writes and directs it alongside Richard Ramsey. This film is a collaborative effort with Kingdom Story Company, the team behind Jesus Revolution, and Candy Rock Entertainment, owned by Candace Cameron Bure.
As a pastor, I am always on the lookout for stories that inspire and uplift. Unsung Hero seems to embody these qualities, offering a narrative rich in faith, hope, and the unbreakable bonds of family. It’s a story that promises to touch hearts and reinforce the belief that even in the darkest times, faith can light the way.
I eagerly await the opportunity to share more about this film as its release date approaches. For now, let’s cherish the anticipation and the powerful message this trailer has already begun to convey. Stay tuned for more updates on Unsung Hero, a film that is sure to leave an indelible mark on our hearts and our faith.

On this Memorial Day, Amy and I are reminded of the profound scripture in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” It’s a day of remembrance for those who embodied the ultimate act of love – the courageous men and women who laid down their lives for our nation.
Just as Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice for us on the cross, these brave individuals made a selfless sacrifice for our freedom, mirroring Christ’s deep love for us. Let’s take a moment to honor these heroes who’ve shown the true spirit of Jesus’ teachings.
As we spend today with our loved ones, enjoying the liberties their sacrifices have secured, let’s keep them and their families in our prayers. Let’s ask God to pour out His comfort, His grace, and His peace upon those who mourn.
In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, we are reminded, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction.” Our Heavenly Father is with each of us, and especially with those families who have lost a loved one in service to our country.
In these challenging times, we need to lean on our faith more than ever. Just as Paul said in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” let’s believe in the strength and grace given to us by our Savior.
This Memorial Day, let’s commit to carrying forward the legacy of our fallen heroes. Let’s practice the love they’ve shown us – selfless, brave, and boundless – and spread it within our community and beyond.
Let’s draw closer to God, our source of hope, peace, and love. Let’s strive to love each other as He loves us, remembering the great sacrifices made for our freedom.
Produced for Radiate Music by GRAMMY-nominated and multiple Dove Award winner Ian Eskelin, the well-timed single appears on Natasha Owens’ upcoming album, “American Patriot.”
Ahead of her upcoming album, American Patriot, Natasha Owens is celebrating the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade with the powerful pro-life anthem, “Stand for Life.” Produced for Radiate Music by GRAMMY-nominated and multiple Dove Award winner Ian Eskelin, the well-timed single appears on her upcoming album, available everywhere on July 1 from Radiate Music.
Of her new pro-life anthem, Owens says: “The Supreme Court just delivered the most historic victory ever in the fight for life. Roe v. Wade – the cause of millions of innocent babies’ senseless deaths – has been overturned. I always hoped but never thought that I would see Roe overturned in my lifetime. In a world that has such darkness, a spark of light has been given to us. But our work is not done. Now is the time to love and help be a part of the solution for mothers who are scared and without hope. The body of Christ has an unbelievable opportunity to spread God’s love. We must be bold in our proclamation to stand for life. I have witnessed incredible opposition when I have stood for life, but I stand boldly and unashamed in front of God and a watching world. We must never be afraid to stand up for what is right. Preventing the senseless bloodshed of innocent babies is what I know is right. I pray that that ‘Stand For Life’ will give others enough strength to boldly stand. Life is precious. Life starts at conception. Everything that has a heartbeat is alive!”
With American Patriot, Owens is taking a new direction and offering up a bold, proud, powerful concept collection that bridges an unwavering love of country with the themes of faith and family that have always played a significant part in her artistry. Owens exploded onto the Christian Music scene in 2016 and quickly found herself touring with Christian Music’s most iconic artists, including Michael W. Smith and Jason Crabb. Her sophomore album, We Will Rise, was named “Inspirational Album of the Year” at the 2018 We Love Christian Music Awards, which led to a deal with Nashville-based Radiate Music and extensive media coverage including appearances on Fox News, HLN, Newsmax and more.
Owens has been making regular appearances on the conservative circuit in recent months, including frequent visits to Mar A Lago and a main stage appearance at CPAC 2022 in Orlando, performing the national anthem for the largest and most influential annual gathering of conservatives in the world. She also performed for nearly 50,000 at this year’s Hero’s Honor Festival alongside Toby Keith and Craig Morgan.
Today is a historic day for ALL Americans. June 24, 2022, will go down in history as the date the Supreme Court struck down/repealed the January 22, 1973, decision known as Roe V Wade, which gave women in the United States a fundamental right to choose whether to have abortions without excessive government restriction and striking down a Texas’s abortion ban as unconstitutional. You are more than likely rejoicing about the decision or extremely angry about it.
I’ve received so many texts, emails, and messages about what went down today, that I feel led to respond with my thoughts about what today means for our country.
My first thought is that we need to pray about this subject, and the events that are likely to go down in the days and weeks ahead.
That said………
Believing every child has the right to life inside or outside of the womb, I believe that one of the biggest travesties of my lifetime is that 63,000,000 + babies have been legally murdered in the United States.
What happens next?
The abortion laws will go back to the states and not the federal government. That’s the simple answer. However, along with that answer comes the question of how do people react?
I would hope that those who are on the pro-life side of the occasion would behave in a Christ-like manner. There are many things left to do to make sure that babies are safe in their mother’s womb. Being antagonistic or causing unnecessary strife makes the things that still need to happen even more difficult.
For those of you who fall on the opposite side of how I believe, I would encourage you to speak out against those who plan on or have been committing violent acts since the leaked news of today’s events.
You might say, but your side did horrible things in the years past. My reply to that would be that I have always been against those who choose to do violent acts in situations like this. Violence and vandalism have no place no matter what side of any equation there may be.
I would also ask that if you haven’t done so, please explore your local crises pregnancy centers. You may be surprised at what amazing work that is taking place for those who are in crisis.
Today, I am elated that this horrible black eye on our country has started to be blotted out. There is much work left to do, and without God’s intervention, there will be some serious conflicts taking place.
HOLLYWOOD — “Jesus Revolution,” the faith-based film about the great spiritual revival of the 1970s, has tapped Kelsey Grammer, Joel Courtney, Jonathan Roumie and Anna Grace Barlow to create an iconic cast.
“Jesus Revolution” follows Laurie’s journey from Southern California hippie rebel to committed believer at the swell of the Jesus Movement. The film will star Joel Courtney (The Kissing Booth) as young Greg Laurie and Kelsey Grammer (Frasier) as Greg’s mentor, Pastor Chuck Smith. Jonathan Roumie (The Chosen) will portray hippie and Charismatic evangelist Lonnie Frisbee, and Anna Grace Barlow (Scream, The Never List) will co-star as Greg Laurie’s young wife, Cathe. Other notable castings include Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Ally Ioannides, Julia Campbell, Nic Bishop and Jolie Jenkins.
“This film is not primarily about Chuck Smith, Lonnie Frisbee, Cathe Laurie or myself. It’s about how Jesus moved and sent a spiritual awakening in our lives that is still being felt today,” said Pastor Greg Laurie. “I am honored to have such a talented, venerated cast and crew tell this story that is so near to my heart and changed my life and our country for eternity. The Jesus Movement was the last great American spiritual awakening. Some historians have said it was the greatest revival of all time. Now, I’m praying for another in our time.”
“Jesus Revolution,” written by Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn with The Erwin Brothers and The Kingdom Story Company (Lionsgate), is set to release February 24, 2023. The film is based on the book of the same title from Laurie and Ellen Vaughn, telling personal stories of one of the largest spiritual revivals in the nation’s history.
Against the socially chaotic backdrop of the 1970s, an entire generation in the U.S. found new meaning in Christianity, sparking a revival that broke out on the West Coast and spread throughout the United States — an event that TIME Magazine called “The Jesus Revolution.”
“Jesus has been a profound influence in my life,” said Kelsey Grammer. “I am proud to be a part of this film.”
