We Encourage You To Help Support Relief Efforts For Ukraine

On Tuesday’s Boston Prayer and Share Hour, I said that I would look into some ways that followers of Ed Boston Ministries and others could assist in helping with the situation in Ukraine.

I’m sure there are many outstanding ministries and organizations doing remarkable things, but after doing some research I believe that my best recommendation is for the two organizations shown below, Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Blessing.

Amy and I as well as The Father’s House church will be making donations to both Christ centered groups.

First here are the donation links and following are links to their websites where you can find out more information on what they are doing in Ukraine.

About Samaritan’s Purse: They have deployed a 30-bed Emergency Field Hospital to UkrainePhase 1 of our Tier 2 Emergency Field Hospital deployment began Friday, March 4.

Our DC-8 cargo plane based in Greensboro airlifted the initial stages of the field hospital along with Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) members, including doctors, nurses, and logistics and set-up personnel. Once the plane lands in Poland, the field hospital will then be transported overland to Ukraine where it will provide specialized trauma care to people impacted by the conflict.

The field hospital is equipped with an operating room (up to 15 surgeries per day), an ICU, an emergency room, a pharmacy, and it has its own water and sanitation system. As many as 100 patients a day can be seen at this hospital, and it will be operated by more than 50 staff (medical and non-medical). The situation on the ground is fluid and changing rapidly, but the hospital could be operational early next week.

About Operation Blessing:

**Right now, Operation Blessing teams are responding to the crisis in Ukraine, providing emergency relief and supplies to families and individuals in need including food kits, bottled water, and even generators. Please join us in supporting these families in desperate need today.**

In many of these cases, man’s inhumanity to man can feel overwhelming and gut wrenching. These are some of the darkest days in the lives of people caught in the fray, yet you can reach out to them with hope and be a light in that darkness.

It’s only through your support that Operation Blessing is able to reach out with critical humanitarian aid in times like these. You can provide relief such as food, medical care, clean water, shelter, mattresses, generators, encouragement and even trauma counseling.

This is all vitally important not only to care for their bodies, but also their souls. In this way, you let them know that someone sees their terrible plight, and that you care.
